Another festive edition of RCKC x Uniqlo’s Clothes of Love project saw President Roland and members of the club handing over more than 40 boxes of pre-loved clothing to Kampung Mapu Tantu. This village is located at Tebedu, Serian, close to the Indonesian border, and has about 500 residents. Prior to the handover, members gathered at Organising Chair Rtn Amy’s office to sort out and repack the clothing collected by Uniqlo Malaysia at their various branches.
Upon their arrival at Kampung Mapu Tantu, the members were warmly greeted by the residents in attendance. President Roland explained the project in his speech in fluent Bahasa Malaysia, and the symbolic handover was witnessed by YB Martin Ben. The handover was followed by a sumptuous feast of local delicacies homecooked by the villagers as catered by the club for all present. In true Sarawakian festive style, the members then burned off the calories dancing and having fun with everyone there
