Rtn Sharon joined Climb Mt. Kinabalu to End Polio Now event

Sunday, 26 October 2025

In conjunction with World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Kuching Central was represented by Rtn Sharon who joined 27 other Rotarians and family and friends of Rotary for the Climb Mt. Kinabalu to End Polio Now event. Participants were from our District 3310 and District 3860 of the Philippines.

Rtn Sharon flew our club’s flag high as she reached Low’s Peak, the highest point of Mt. Kinabalu at 4095.2 metres at 6am this morning. Her tenacity and strong spirit made our club proud and also motivated members to contribute to the End Polio Now fund in her honour.

Our club was also represented by President Pauline, District Rotary Foundation Chair PP Yaw Hua and District End Polio Now Chair PP Leonard who were in attendance to cheer on the climbers.

Well done, Rtn Sharon and all climbers who made the effort with such a meaningful goal. Let’s Unite for Good to End Polio Now!
