Message From District Governor 2025-26

Monday, 30 June 2025

Dear President and Club Members

Congratulations on the Installation of the President and Board Members!

Rotary’s greatest strength isn’t just our proud history, our impactful projects, or our global reach. It’s our people – a dedicated and talented network of volunteers committed to making lasting change.

As we embark on a new chapter, we are guided by a clear roadmap for growth and revitalization built
upon three essential pillars: Innovation, Continuity, and Partnership. These are more than strategies
– they are a call to action to renew Rotary, bring in fresh voices, and strengthen our service to
communities across the globe.

The world around us is changing rapidly. Technology, societal expectations, and economic conditions  evolve continuously – and Rotary must evolve with them.

Innovation means embracing these changes. It’s not only about engaging younger generations but also inviting seniors who seek meaningful purpose and connection. Our future members are out there – we must go where they are and welcome them into our Rotary family.

Continuity ensures that we don’t start from scratch every year. When incoming leaders build upon the work of their predecessors, momentum grows, and impact deepens. Disruptive leadership transitions can weaken our clubs, while alignment and collaboration set the stage for long-term success. Let us rise above individual agendas and focus on shared goals that transcend leadership terms.

Partnership reminds us that we are stronger together. Growing our membership isn’t simply about numbers; it’s about deepening our capacity to serve. Each new member brings energy, ideas, and hands to help. At the same time, we must never forget the importance of succession planning – clubs that stand still begin to fade. Vibrant clubs constantly renew themselves.

Let’s make recruitment and retention a lasting priority – a shared responsibility passed from one generation of Rotarians to the next. By doing so, we ensure that Rotary remains dynamic and relevant for decades to come.

As we embrace this journey, I encourage every club to align with District 3310’s Triple 3 Guide in all we plan and do:

3 Tools: Awareness, Knowledge, Action
3 Pillars: Innovation, Continuity, Partnerships
3 Objectives: Strengthen our Clubs, Create Lasting Change, and Uplift Our Foundation

Rotary members are people of action. We don’t wait for change to happen; we make it happen. And what do people of action do? We unite for good.

Let us move forward together in the spirit of growth, connection, and service. Let us build a Rotary that continues to unite for good – and ensures a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

Warm regards,
Dr Shahul Hameed
